Job summary

TLT LLP is recruiting an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Glasgow on a hybrid basis. The role is a full-time, permanent opportunity, and will further strengthen our PIC team that operates on a national basis.

The ideal candidate will have construction experience in both contentious and non-contentious work, with NEC, JCT and FIDIC familiarity, strong analytical and client‑facing skills, and a commercial

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (SRA or equivalent) with 1–5 PQE in construction.
• Experience with NEC, JCT and FIDIC standard forms.
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction work.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware with appetite for business development.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advise high calibre clients on non-contentious and contentious construction issues with Partner support.
• Support energy, infrastructure, highways, housing projects and related work.
• Advise clients at all stages of the post-contract process.
• Represent clients in adjudication, arbitration and Technology and Construction Court proceedings.
• Assist with insolvency issues related to construction projects.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Mentor Associates, Trainees and Paralegals.
• Support tenders and strategic planning activities.
