Job summary

Themis Recruit are seeking a motivated, skilled Contentious Construction Associate to join our client’s growing team in London. You will work on high-profile projects and disputes in the domestic and international construction, engineering, and development sectors.

This includes advising clients such as developers, contractors, investment funds, and cultural institutions. You will gain experience in adjudications, High Court litigation, arbitration, and strategic advisory work.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 3-5 PQE in contentious construction.
• Experience managing complex cases with attention to detail.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Organised and results-driven with excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Support partners in managing contentious construction matters.
• Prepare and conduct adjudications.
• Assist with High Court litigation and arbitrations.
• Provide strategic advice on contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and payment disputes.
• Manage client relationships and oversee junior team members.
• Contribute to business development and marketing.
• Participate in training and departmental activities.
