Gowling WLG seeks a Principal Associate for its Non-Contentious Construction team in Birmingham and London. You will advise on high value construction, engineering and infrastructure projects for developers, investors, public sector bodies and contractors.

The role demands a qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE, strong drafting, negotiations and leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to complex, high-profile mandates.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years' PQE.
• Experience advising on major construction contracts (JCT, NEC, MF/1, FIDIC).
• Experience in development and funding agreements and leases.
• Experience on major projects and regeneration schemes.
• Proven ability to give pragmatic, commercial advice and run matters with minimal supervision.
• Experience supervising junior fee earners; strong time management and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Advise on all major forms of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, MF/1, FIDIC).
• Work on development and funding agreements and leases for large projects.
• Lead major matters with limited partner supervision and mentor junior fee earners.
• Provide pragmatic, commercial advice and effective client handling.
