Job summary

Servers.com, powered by Nexcess, is seeking a Solution Architect to join the Guildford office and help design hybrid cloud and bare-metal infrastructure for clients across industries. You will work closely with sales, product and customers, travel to sites as needed, and maintain documentation and architecture diagrams while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires hands-on cloud, on-prem and network knowledge, strong presenting skills, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities in

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Confident presenter with customer-facing experience.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and system architecture.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Ability to create technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration with sales, engineering, and product teams.
• Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Design overall solution and select products.
• Technical discovery with customers to define requirements.
• Support sales during onboarding of new customers.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and screencasts.
• Report roadmap improvements to product management.
• Coordinate stock and deployment timelines with vendors.
• Learn about new hosting technologies and products.
• Work from Guildford at least 4 days a week and travel for on-site visits.
