Job summary

Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is seeking a Solution Architect to lead architectural strategy across business platforms, shaping holistic solutions that improve customer experience and operational excellence. The role combines collaboration with cross-functional teams and technology partners to ensure our architecture aligns with governance standards.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, split between home and our offices in Basingstoke or Wembley, with occasional travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise and solution architecture.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Expertise in SaaS platforms, application integration and APIs.
• Understanding of DevOps/SecOps practices and agile development.
• Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness and focus on value delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development across platforms.
• Create and maintain architectural blueprints and technical docs.
• Ensure solutions align with goals and standards via the Technical Design Authority (TDA).
• Collaborate with other architects to define end-to-end designs, covering systems, data, integration, and security.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and technology reuse, and evaluate new products/technologies.
• Work with stakeholders, product owners and business analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Attend and contribute to technology governance forums and strategic planning discussions.
• Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness and a focus on value delivery.
