Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow in Manchester seeks engineers to build and operate reliable, scalable systems on OpenShift and Azure. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and observability with Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana.

You’ll coordinate incidents, eliminate bottlenecks through automation, and collaborate across engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver robust services. You will maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and contribute to the platform roadmap

Qualifications

• Hands-on OpenShift and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Azure cloud services, networking and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience building observability platforms with Prometheus, Loki and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate reliable, scalable systems using OpenShift and Azure.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
• Support observability with metrics, logging, dashboards, and alerting.
• Coordinate incident response and drive long-term corrective actions.
• Identify reliability risks and reduce bottlenecks through automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services.
• Maintain architecture diagrams and runbooks.
• Contribute to infrastructure roadmap with data-driven guidance.
• Apply Agile practices using Jira and Confluence.
