Job summary

Citigroup Belfast is seeking a seasoned Application Infrastructure DevOps professional to support the Citi Finance Application – Finance Full Suite. The role covers hybrid OpenShift/OpenShift‑adjacent environments, on‑prem and cloud, with a focus on database reliability and modernization.

You will architect and lead migrations to AWS, GDP, and Snowflake, build AI‑driven monitoring and automated self‑healing workflows, and implement IaC (Terraform, Ansible) for routine DBA tasks while ensuring

Qualifications

• Hybrid infrastructure and container platforms expertise across on‑prem and cloud.
• Proven track record migrating complex databases to AWS or GDP.
• Experience building/using AI or agentic AI to automate DB ops.
• Advanced Python scripting and IaC tooling proficiency.
• Strong performance tuning and HA/DR planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day reliability of hybrid database systems across OpenShift, VMs, and cloud VMs.
• Plan and execute migrations of legacy data platforms to AWS, GDP, and Snowflake with minimal downtime.
• Develop real‑time telemetry, automated indexing, anomaly detection, and self‑healing workflows.
• Containerize workloads and streamline microservice‑to‑database connectivity.
• Ensure HA/DR frameworks, automated failovers, backups, and test recovery procedures.
• Automate DBA tasks with Terraform, Ansible, and Python scripts; enforce security scanning and access control.
