Job summary

British Business Bank plc is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to optimise a hybrid cloud estate predominantly on Microsoft Azure. You will shape reliable, secure, cost-aware services across SaaS/IaaS/PaaS, with a focus on automation, observability and resilient operations.

The role requires hands-on cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD expertise. Occasional office attendance two days a week is expected, with flexible hours and generous leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Cloud DevOps experience with modern practices.
• Strong Azure engineering experience across infra, identity and security.
• Familiar with IaC, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and cloud governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Azure networking, compute, storage and PaaS/IaaS.
• Automate with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support backup, DR planning and incident response with DevSecOps in mind.
