Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Clinical Pathologist for our Wetherby, UK laboratory in a hybrid role requiring 1 day on-site per week. You will perform diagnostic evaluations in clinical pathology, prepare reports, and provide expert client consultations, while maintaining high quality, timeliness, and strong communication with teams and clients.

The role emphasizes ongoing education, professional relationships, and active participation in quality control and pathologist meetings to support IDEXX's

Qualifications

• Board certification in clinical pathology (ACVP or ECVCP) preferred.
• Board-eligible pathologists may apply and will be supported while studying for boards.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Familiar with current topics in clinical veterinary medicine.
• Ability to type and use dictation equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Service-oriented attitude and strong organization.
• Computer skills are required.
• Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site at the Wetherby Lab at least 1 day per week.

Responsibilities

• Gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner.
• Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
• Provide telephone consultations to clients.
• Consult with and assist other pathologists to promote collegiality.
• Partner with laboratory personnel in specimen processing and act as pathologist on duty.
• Promote IDEXX by developing professional relationships with clients.
• Participate in quality control programs.
• Maintain proficiency through continuing education.
• Time may be allocated away from routine duties to engage in approved activities.
