IDEXX (UK Team) is seeking a full-time Anatomic Pathologist for maternity cover. The role entails gross and microscopic examination of anatomic pathology specimens and timely pathology reporting in a NHS/IDEXX diagnostic context.

The successful candidate will meet caseload and turnaround expectations, provide telephone client consultations, and collaborate with other pathologists. DVM with ACVP/ECVP/ FRCPath board certification is required, with strong communication and independent work

Qualifikationen

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Board Certification in Veterinary Pathology (ACVP/ECVP/FRCPath).
• Familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
• Able to type and use dictation equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal capabilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory preferred.
• Some experience in a diagnostic field (surgical pathology preferred).
• Service oriented attitude.
• Able to organize and prioritize work.
• Computer skills are required.

Aufgaben

• Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
• Provide telephone consultations to clients.
• Consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality.
• Interact with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and function as the pathologist on duty.
• Promote IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
• Participate in quality control programs.
• Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through continuing education.
• Time will be available from routine diagnostic responsibilities to allow engagement in other professional activities as approved by management; CPD enabled.
