Avove Utilities is seeking a Civil Engineer to support delivery across the Severn Trent Water framework, with a hybrid mix of office and remote work and locations in Derby or Birmingham. You will manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning within a collaborative team.

The role requires civil engineering education and accreditation, with experience in water/wastewater design, strong reporting and software skills, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; accreditation preferred.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater non-infrastructure design desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD with strong reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and workload management within a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Support projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility to commissioning.
• Produce and review drawings, calculations, reports, and site survey information.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Embed health, safety, and CDM principles in design.
