Job summary

DWF is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join our Corporate Claims team in Leeds. The role focuses on managing a Casualty caseload for corporate clients, providing timely resolutions and high service levels while collaborating with insurers and brokers.

The position involves working on a range of matters from routine to complex claims, with hybrid working requiring attendance in the Leeds office at least one day per week. A strong background in casualty claims is essential.

Qualifications

• Casualty claims experience, cradle-to-grave handling preferred (Motor/EL/PL & Casualty).
• Strong client relationship skills with brokers and insurers.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented approach to claim files.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Financial literacy and commercial awareness relevant to claims handling.
• Stakeholder collaboration with Underwriting and Actuarial teams.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of a portfolio of Casualty claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement.
• Ensure reserving philosophy is followed and reserves are in line with company protocols.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams on claim issues and trend analysis.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers.
• Monitor Casualty claim trends and developments and keep underwriters updated.
• Stay up to date with relevant case law, precedents, and legislative changes.
