Associate — Catastrophic Loss (High-Value PI, Hybrid)

Job summary

DWF is recruiting an Associate to join the nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team in Leeds. The role involves assisting on large value cases for insurers and corporate clients, with exposure to RTAs, EL and PL claims.

You will work closely with Partners on high value matters, develop technical expertise in liability and quantum, and build strong client relationships in a hybrid working environment with travel to Leeds every fortnight.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years PQE in Large Loss, Complex Loss or Catastrophic Loss claims.
• Experience handling defendant multi-track personal injury cases (EL/PL/RTA).
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, liability and quantum assessment.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding service and results.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior team on high value complex cases.
• Advise clients on liability, quantum and strategy.
• Draft documents, prepare for court and engage in settlement negotiations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through service delivery.
• Stay updated on developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law.
