Job summary

DWF is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor to join the Catastrophic Loss team in Leeds. The team handles high value complex cases for insurers, including RTAs, EL, and PL matters with claims up to £20 million.

The role is fully assisting, hybrid, and based in Leeds with potential travel to Leeds if based elsewhere. You will work closely with Partners on large value cases and develop strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years PQE, preferably in Large Loss, Complex Loss or Catastrophic Loss claims.
• Experience handling or assisting on defendant multi-track personal injury cases, including Large Loss, Complex Loss or Catastrophic Loss claims, EL/PL or RTA matters.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law, liability, and quantum assessment.
• Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding service and results.
• Strong academics.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior team members on high value complex cases.
• Advising clients, including insurers and corporate clients, on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy.
• Drafting documents, preparing for court, and engaging in settlement negotiations.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
• Staying updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law.
