Job summary

N-Compass is seeking an Assessment & Support Officer to work with unpaid carers from Kendal. You will conduct person-centred assessments, identify needs and co-produce tailored support plans, building strong relationships and guiding carers to local services.

A driving licence and vehicle are essential for this role. The post offers true hybrid working from the Kendal office, 37 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until September 2027, with opportunities for development and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care, community services, or voluntary sector preferred.
• Transferable skills and lived experience welcomed.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out person-centred assessments with unpaid carers and identify needs and strengths.
• Co-produce support plans to help carers achieve meaningful outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships and provide information and guidance to navigate local services.
• Work across the community, meeting carers where they are and supporting them with confidence.
