Job summary

Your Housing Group is seeking a Building Safety Manager on a 12-month maternity cover to lead on building safety in higher-risk residential properties. The role blends home working with regular travel to sites, providing safety leadership, technical assurance and resident engagement across a portfolio.

You will work with the Building & Fire Safety Lead and the Head of Compliance & Building Safety to ensure regulatory compliance, maintain Building Safety Cases and the Golden Thread, and support

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing building safety in high-rise/complex residential settings.
• Strong understanding of the Building Safety & Fire Safety Acts and related guidance.
• Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide robust assurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Acts across a portfolio of higher-risk buildings.
• Lead on development and maintenance of Building Safety Cases and Golden Thread information.
• Oversee remediation actions and regulatory actions from safety assessments to completion.
• Provide on-site safety leadership, technical assurance and resident engagement.
• Maintain robust digital records and support CPD and best practice across the organisation.
