Job summary

Westminster City Council is seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager on a 3-month contract to oversee HRB safety compliance and resident engagement. You will lead on risk assessments, safety case development and emergency planning while working with contractors and residents to ensure regulatory standards are met.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations, with a track record in residential properties and housing service environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and related regulations.
• Experience with residential buildings and building safety compliance.
• Experience in housing/local authority/construction/building surveying environments.
• Experience coordinating projects and programmes.
• Ability to engage with residents and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAC applications for Higher Risk Buildings.
• Develop and maintain Safety Case Reports and Emergency plans.
• Manage building safety risks and resident engagement.
• Escalate safety concerns to regulatory bodies as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams on compliance.
