Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Bookkeeper in Camberley to maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping operations within an accountancy practice. The role focuses on processing payments, VAT returns, and data entry while supporting accounts staff.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, knowledge of VAT, payroll processes, and proficiency with bookkeeping software such as Xero. Hybrid and agile working arrangements are offered.

Responsibilities

• Process payments, invoices, receipts, and income transactions using Xero and various other software.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Identify and report discrepancies to support account reconciliations.
• Assist with the investigation and correction of accounting variances.
• Provide ad hoc support to Accounts staff.
• Contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts when required.
