Job summary

ACCA Careers in Camberley is seeking a Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping operations within an accountancy practice. You will focus on VAT compliance, payments, and timely data entry to ensure smooth financial processes.

The successful candidate will handle VAT returns, manage payments and invoices, and assist with year-end work while using Xero and other bookkeeping tools. This role offers hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and payroll processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process payments, invoices, receipts, and income transactions using Xero and various other software.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Identify and report discrepancies to support account reconciliations.
• Assist with the investigation and correction of accounting variances.
• Provide ad hoc support to Accounts staff.
• Contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts when required.
