Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager for a public sector client. The role leads a BI team responsible for reporting, analytics and data initiatives, with hands-on leadership and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will drive improvements across reporting, analytics and governance while supporting modern data platforms. Hybrid working with onsite Manchester days and a 6-month initial contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading BI, Reporting or Analytics teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Experience delivering BI solutions using Power BI.
• Good SQL with data warehousing knowledge.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of BI professionals.
• Manage workload, priorities and delivery across the BI function.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics and business insight.
• Support the implementation of Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms.
• Oversee data governance, data quality and master data initiatives.
• Act as the technical escalation point for BI and reporting requirements.
• Support the rollout of a major business-critical system implementation.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver key projects.
