Job summary

Harnham is seeking a BI Developer for a hybrid London role with 3 days in the office. The contract role offers £50,000–£60,000 and exposure to complex data integration and BI projects for high-profile clients.

You will design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, build ETL pipelines, and optimise T-SQL while collaborating with analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions. Sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with SQL Server and T-SQL development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Experience working with semantic models, tabular models, star schemas, Kimball methodologies.
• Exposure to SSAS, DAX, and BI solution development.
• Experience working across different data architectures and technology environments.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Python development or scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions across client projects.
• Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
• Writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Building and enhancing semantic and tabular data models.
• Supporting SSAS cube development and DAX calculations.
• Collaborating with business and data analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Investigating data issues and supporting users with technical queries.
• Contributing to testing, quality assurance, and solution design activities.
• Working within a consultancy environment where priorities and requirements can evolve.
