Job summary

Xelix is seeking a mid‑level DevOps Engineer to operate and evolve its AWS‑based infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure automation, application delivery, database operations, and security, using Terraform and GitOps to manage cloud resources and Python to build tooling.

You’ll own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, manage RDS/Aurora databases, and contribute to cloud security and software supply chain initiatives. A hybrid, fast‑paced environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with the AWS stack (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, Route 53).
• Proven experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform in a GitOps workflow (PR-based review, remote state, modules, workspaces).
• Practical experience with GitOps tooling and patterns (Argo CD, Flux, or equivalent PR-driven deployment models).
• Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and scripting; Django experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform in GitOps workflows.
• Own and evolve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Manage RDS/Aurora databases, including backups, patching, and failover testing.
• Write Python tooling and automation to reduce toil and support operations.
• Participate in on‑call, incident response, and post‑incident reviews for blameless RCA.
