Job summary

Employment International is seeking a Driver Development Engineer to contribute to and maintain a growing library of device drivers for AV devices. You will work in Visual Studio and Github, analyze APIs, develop and test drivers, and collaborate with third‑party partners.

The role is based in the UK, with a hybrid office pattern; our Harrogate-based technical office requires presence three days per week. A dynamic, problem-solving mindset and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of .NET Framework v4.5.2.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and third-party frameworks.
• Good understanding of multithreaded/asynchronous programming.
• Good understanding of IP networking (SSH, HTTP(s), WebSockets).
• Good understanding of Windows Server infrastructure.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Creative thinker and team player.
• Understanding of the AV or UC market is desirable.
• Knowledge of AMX Netlinx, Crestron SIMPL# and Extron Python is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturer APIs and protocols.
• Develop, maintain and test drivers (existing and new).
• Work with end-users to deploy and test drivers in real-world environments.
• Conduct research into the market and the next integration opportunities.
• Be a technical point of contact for our manufacturer partners.
