Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead a growing audit team within a well-established accountancy practice in the UK. The role will manage a varied portfolio of clients and drive high-quality audits.

You will focus on planning, reviewing and delivering audits while developing junior staff and working closely with Partners in a hands-off management style.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience managing audit assignments and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients.
• Plan audits including budgets, timescales and resources.
• Oversee audits from planning to completion.
• Review and sign off audit files and working papers.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and audit seniors.
• Collaborate with Partners on complex assignments.
• Ensure audits meet professional and technical standards.
