Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a permanent basis. The role supports post-tender cost control, procurement and final account activities within a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

Salary is 30,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with ASAP start. You will work alongside experienced quantity surveyors and commercial managers, assisting with procurement, valuations and cost reporting to help drive project

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.
• 1–3 years of solid hands-on commercial experience with a Main Contractor is preferred.
• Strong commercial knowledge, including contracts, take-offs, site measurements and cost control.
• Excellent MS Excel skills, and clear communication abilities with site teams and subcontractors.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist with subcontractor package procurement and commercial evaluations.
• Conduct site valuations, measure completed works, and prepare monthly progress valuations.
• Support management of project variations, compensation events, and final account negotiations.
• Maintain accurate cost reports, track budget variances, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with site management, project managers, clients and supply chain partners.
