Job summary

Automotive Dealer Group is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant with a strong focus on financial analysis in a hybrid Borehamwood setting. You will analyse performance, margins and KPIs, turning data into actionable insight for senior management.

The role combines management accounting with detailed financial analysis, reporting and business partnering to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a motor dealership or automotive dealer group.
• Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or Finance Analyst role.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Kerridge or similar dealer management system.
• AAT qualification or studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA.

Responsibilities

• Produce and analyse regular financial and management reports.
• Analyse dealership performance, margins, costs and profitability.
• Identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
• Provide KPI and performance analysis for senior management.
• Support daily and monthly financial reporting and forecasting.
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
• Build and maintain financial models and analysis.
• Provide clear commentary explaining movements to stakeholders.
• Support audit, VAT and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with dealership and operational teams on performance insights.
