Job summary

Southern Water is seeking an Asset Application Delivery Manager in Falmer, Brighton. Hybrid role (2 days in office) with a £70k salary. You will lead a team responsible for 50+ enterprise applications, ensuring stability, performance, security, and 24/7 support across complex platforms.

You will own incidents, problems, changes, and service requests, drive continuous improvement, manage suppliers, and partner with stakeholders to deliver resilient services aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing operational support for business-critical platforms.
• Experience working in ITIL-based environments and handling service management processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical or application support teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operational service management for wholesale platforms and applications.
• Ensure service levels, availability targets, and customer experience goals are met.
• Own IT service management processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request.
• Oversee SLA performance, resilience, and platform availability.
• Manage a team of support specialists and outsourced providers.
• Ensure smooth transition of new products and changes into operational support.
• Own Problem Management and drive permanent root-cause resolution.
• Act as escalation point for major incidents and critical issues.
• Serve as Application Service Owner for wholesale apps and SaaS/mobile platforms.
• Monitor performance and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and audit-ready controls.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection requirements are met.
• Support project delivery and operational readiness.
