Job summary

Southern Water in Falmer, East Sussex is seeking an Environmental Advisor to manage environmental risk on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. The role is hybrid (2 days per week) with occasional travel across the UK, supervising design, maintenance and construction activities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Environmental Science or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in environmental assessment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Solid understanding of UK environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking environmental assessments across a range of projects.
• Producing clear, accurate reports with well-reasoned conclusions supported by evidence.
• With support from senior colleagues, solving complex environmental challenges and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
