Job summary

Fruition Group is seeking an Application Support Developer to join a SAP S/4HANA transformation programme in Castleford. You will act as a bridge between users, business systems and development, supporting critical applications while preparing data for migration.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work with UK and Europe teams on data validation, bug fixes and development tasks, gaining exposure to SAP S/4HANA and ERP transformations across international projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Application Support, Software Support or similar technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting business applications or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of C#.
• Experience with Visual Studio.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with VB.NET and/or VB6.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and communicate solutions effectively.
• Experience working directly with business users and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desirable: SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Desirable: Experience with ERP implementations or migration projects.
• Desirable: Manufacturing or logistics industry experience.
• Desirable: Data migration, data validation or master data management experience.
• Desirable: Exposure to system integrations and interfaces.
• Desirable: Understanding of business processes across operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for business-critical systems and desktop applications.
• Triage, investigate and resolve user-reported incidents and issues.
• Escalate complex problems where appropriate.
• Analyse application defects and deliver bug fixes and enhancements.
• Support users of varying technical abilities across the business.
• Develop and maintain scripts to support data extraction and validation activities.
• Assist with data cleansing and master data quality initiatives.
• Support the migration of business processes and data into SAP S/4HANA.
• Work closely with end users to understand system issues and business requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and international project teams throughout the SAP transformation programme.
• Contribute to the ongoing support and development of both legacy and future business systems.
