Job summary

RS Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a SAP S/4HANA workstream within the S/4HANA Programme. The role reports to the S/4HANA Programme Manager and will shape, plan and deliver complex SAP-enabled workstreams across UK offices.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, governance and dependencies, coordinate SAP functional/technical teams and third-party partners, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing SAP ERP projects including implementation, configuration/customisation or transformation.
• Strong understanding of SAP ERP and S/4HANA delivery environments across SAP modules, integration, data and cutover dependencies.
• Experience delivering supply chain or operational business change within SAP-enabled environments (order management, materials management, fulfilment, warehousing, distribution).
• Strong project governance capability including planning, RAID, dependency management, budget tracking and reporting.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, SAP functional/technical teams, systems integrators and third-party delivery partners.
• Ability to translate complex SAP/process/technical detail into clear business language and actionable delivery plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior business/technology/supplier stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced programme environment.
• Experience using PM/collaboration tools such as Planview, Jira, Confluence, Teams and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for definition, documentation and successful delivery of an assigned S/4HANA workstream or project.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, assumptions, dependencies, RAID logs, resource needs and budgets.
• Coordinate with SAP functional/technical teams, business process owners and third-party partners.
• Manage resources, budgets, forecasts and delivery progress with accurate reporting.
• Ensure governance, quality controls and change control are applied to protect scope, cost and timing.
• Evaluate options ensuring alignment with RS Group strategy and SAP S/4HANA design principles.
• Manage delivery dependencies with vendors and systems integrators, with clear ownership.
• Prepare workstream reporting, SteerCo inputs and escalation summaries for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure workstream outcomes are closed and transitioned into BAU with lessons learned.
