Job summary

Fruition Group is seeking an Application Support Developer for an on-site role in Castleford, fixed-term until February 2028. You will join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation, acting as a bridge between users, business systems and development teams to support critical applications and prepare data for migration.

You’ll triage incidents, fix bugs, validate data and contribute to development tasks, working with business users and stakeholders across the UK and Europe as the programme progresses.

Qualifications

• Experience in application or software support for business systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ERP implementations or migrations.
• Experience communicating with business users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for business-critical systems and desktop applications.
• Triage, investigate and resolve user-reported incidents and issues.
• Escalate complex problems where appropriate.
• Analyse application defects and deliver bug fixes and enhancements.
• Support users of varying technical abilities across the business.
• Develop and maintain scripts to support data extraction and validation activities.
• Assist with data cleansing and master data quality initiatives.
• Support the migration of business processes and data into SAP S/4HANA.
• Work closely with end users to understand system issues and business requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and international project teams throughout the SAP transformation programme.
• Contribute to the ongoing support and development of both Legacy and future business systems.

Requirements

• Experience in Application Support, Software Support or a similar technical role
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting business applications or ERP systems
• Knowledge of C#
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with VB.NET and/or VB6
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and communicate solutions effectively
• Experience working directly with business users and stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience developing and supporting bespoke business applications
• SAP S/4HANA experience
• Experience working on ERP implementations or migration projects
• Manufacturing or logistics industry experience
• Data migration, data validation or master data management experience
• Experience supporting Legacy applications
