Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited, a leading infrastructure engineering firm, is seeking an Airport Civil Engineer to join the Aviation team in the UK. You will contribute to airport and airfield projects across Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and international commissions.

The role offers hybrid working, Chartership development support, and opportunities to deliver innovative civil design from feasibility to construction with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Progressing towards Chartership with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE).
• Airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery from concept to detailed design.
• Understanding of either Airport or Highways pavement design, materials specification and maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to contribute to project briefs, scopes of work and technical inputs.
• A passion for solving complex engineering challenges and a commitment to innovation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design for airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
• Support the coordination and delivery of design solutions to meet programme, budget and client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally to deliver integrated aviation projects.
• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality assurance in design.
