Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Airport Civil Engineer to join the Aviation team. You will deliver civil design for airport and airfield projects across the UK and internationally, supporting feasibility through to construction.

A pathway to Chartership, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a culture of innovation and sustainability are core to the role. You will contribute to planning, design and delivery of complex schemes, with hybrid working options from London, Manchester or nearby

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Progressing towards Chartership with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE).
• Airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery of schemes from concept to detailed design.
• Understanding of either Airport or Highways pavement design, materials specification and maintenance with an appreciation of principles and application of UK and international pavement design methods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to contribute to project briefs, scopes of work and technical inputs.
• A passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
• A commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design for airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
• Support the coordination and delivery of design solutions to meet programme, budget and client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally to deliver integrated aviation projects.
• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality assurance in design.
