Job summary

Kenny Recruit is seeking an experienced Air Freight Operator to join the air freight team for UK import/export operations. Location: Colnbrook. Salary £35,000-£42,000.

Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm (4 days in office, 1 from home). You will manage air freight import shipments from arrival through final delivery, ensuring cost-effective, customer-focused service. Key responsibilities include liaising with overseas partners, preparing quotations, handling documentation, and advising on

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Air Import Operator in a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures and documentation.
• Experience coordinating shipments from arrival through customs clearance to final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight import shipments from pre-alert to final delivery.
• Liaise with overseas agents, airlines, handling agents, customs brokers, hauliers and customers.
• Provide quotations and calculate charges with accuracy.
• Advise customers and overseas partners on customs clearance and import requirements.
• Maintain shipment records and update the freight management system.
