Dynamo AI is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the next phase of growth for its engineering organization. Based in London or New York, this executive role owns hiring, architecture, and delivery across AI engineering and deployment infrastructure.

You will build leadership, set standards, and partner with founders on product and organizational strategy. The role requires four days in the office and a hybrid schedule, with sponsorship for work authorization as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience scaling an engineering organization from 25 to 100+ with hiring ownership.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong technical credibility across AI engineering and deployment infrastructure.
• Experience operating through a significant organizational scaling phase beyond an early-stage engineering team.
• Excellent public-facing communication skills with customers, partners, and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization through rapid growth while maintaining execution quality and operating discipline.
• Scale the organization from approximately 25 engineers toward 100+ engineers.
• Define prioritization frameworks, hiring standards, onboarding processes, and performance expectations.
• Build and maintain engineering culture and cross-functional collaboration across AI and deployment teams.
