Milltown Partners seeks a policy communications consultant to advise technology clients on regulatory narratives across the UK and Europe. You'll guide strategy, craft communications plans, and translate complex policy issues into accessible narratives for media, policymakers and the public.

With 4+ years in advisory communications and proven media relations, you’ll use AI tools to deliver insights, manage junior staff, and help shape client campaigns while contributing to business development

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' advisory experience in communications – with a demonstrable interest in technology policy or regulation.
• Strong knowledge of the media and public policy landscape across the EU and the UK.
• Ability to translate complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Experience proactively building journalist relationships, pitching stories, and placing earned media.
• Experience managing a team and delivering advisory work to clients.
• Practical, day-to-day use of AI tools in a professional advisory context.

Responsibilities

• Shape policy communications strategy and define priorities for different audiences.
• Advise clients with strategic judgement and produce briefing materials and content for key moments.
• Use AI tools to generate insights and deliverables at scale.
• Drive and deliver client work with junior colleagues and clear project plans.
• Contribute to business development and identify opportunities for clients.
• Build a collaborative environment with regular feedback and inclusive practices.
