Job summary

Bath Spa University is seeking an Admissions Officer to manage recruitment and admissions across programmes and partner institutions. The role combines home-based work with on-site duties at Newton Park and occasional London campuses.

You will assess applications, guide applicants, and maintain records across the student lifecycle, collaborating with Schools, partners and services to achieve recruitment targets. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing excellent customer service.
• Experience working in a busy environment with competing priorities.
• Experience in administrative functions, preferably in education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as an effective team member.
• Knowledge of SITS or other student records systems.
• Experience of Admissions/Registry procedures and administration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver admission and recruitment activities across programmes and partner institutions.
• Assess qualifications and make evidence-based admissions decisions.
• Maintain accurate applicant records and support the admissions process.
• Provide professional guidance to applicants by email, phone and at events.
• Collaborate with academic Schools, partners and services to meet recruitment targets.
