Job summary

LT Support is recruiting for a School Admissions and Attendance Officer in Barking for ASAP maternity cover, with a full handover to extend to at least July 2027. The role is based at a large secondary school and involves admissions, attendance, and reception cover during term time, with a 8am–4pm schedule.

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for families, support school staff, and coordinate with the Local Authority.

Qualifications

• Experience of admissions processes and liaison with Local Authority.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for prospective families and students.
• Coordinate in-year admissions and attendance where required.
• Liaise with Local Authority and arrange meetings.
• Cover reception duties and attendance administration as needed.
• Ensure safeguarding checks and DBS processing are completed.
