Job summary

Saffery LLP in the Bournemouth area is seeking an Accounts Manager to join our growing Accounts team. This is a client-facing, fast-paced role with advisory elements, handling a varied portfolio from year-end compliance to ad-hoc advisory work for high-net-worth clients.

You will supervise year-end statements, manage ad-hoc projects, plan timetables, review VAT, oversee management accounts, build client relationships and coach junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA qualified with demonstrable practice experience.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel and Word knowledge essential.
• Experience with year-end accounts production software like CCH or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Take ownership of ad-hoc advisory projects.
• Work planning and annual timetabling to meet junior team schedules.
• Review VAT returns and supervise management accounts preparation.
• Manage financial aspects and build client relationships.
• Coach and develop junior team members, including line management.
• Engage with high-net-worth clients and provide advisory support.
