Job summary

Saffery LLP in the United Kingdom is seeking an Accounts Manager to join our client-facing, fast-paced accounts team. The role combines year-end compliance with advisory projects for high-net-worth clients.

You'll supervise year-end statements, manage ad-hoc projects, VAT and management accounts, and develop junior staff, while building strong client relationships. The firm offers a hybrid working policy and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with practice experience.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to learn quickly.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; familiarity with other accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Taking ownership of ad-hoc advisory projects.
• Work planning and annual timetabling, ensuring junior team deadlines are met.
• Reviewing VAT returns and supervising the preparation of management accounts.
• Financial management and cross-departmental communication.
• Building and maintaining client relationships; coaching junior team members.
