Job summary

Cumbria Combined Authority is recruiting an accounting technician to provide flexible transactional finance support, ensuring timely processing of invoices, credit notes and reconciliations. The role focuses on accuracy and effective ledger maintenance within a developing finance service.

Based in Penrith with a hybrid 40% office requirement, you will work with the finance team to deliver reliable financial processing and support governance across Cumbria.

Qualifications

• AAT-qualified or equivalent practitioner with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in processing invoices, credit notes, bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
• Knowledge of financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible and reliable transactional finance support.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit notes, bank reconciliations and VAT reconciliations.
• Maintain ledgers and support the finance service.
