Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Aldershot is seeking a recycling centre assistant to assist the public with waste disposal and ensure site health and safety. Salary – £12.21ph plus Veolia benefits

Hours – Working across 7 days per week including bank holidays. You will have two regular weekdays off per week. Spring Hours 08:45‑17:15, Summer Hours 08:45‑18:15, Winter Hours 08:45‑16:15.

Location – Aldershot Household Waste Recycling Centre, GU12 4TX

What will you be doing?

• Assisting members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal
• Ensuring the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site
• Ensuring that materials on site are recycled as much as possible
• Ensuring that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
• Operating the IT tablet‑based booking system
• Trade waste control
