Job summary

Veolia is seeking a HWRC Operative at Greenwich IWF to advise the public on correct bays, give clear instructions, and ensure rules are observed. You will help manage site traffic, check IDs, and maintain cleanliness while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent teamwork and clear communication.
• Ability to work on own initiative and stay reliable.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Experience in Waste industry or similar role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advising the general public of correct bays/methods to ensure materials go into the correct bins.
• Provide clear instructions to users and ensure rules are observed.
• Inform the management team of issues linked to site rules observance transgressions.
• Manage traffic into and on-site.
• Check I.D and Permits from Residents and site users.
• Maintaining site cleanliness.
• Any other request from the management team.
• Sorting and moving waste streams as and when required.
• Maintaining Health & Safety standards of site.
