Job summary

GE Grid Solutions in Stafford, United Kingdom, is seeking a Test Technician to perform routine HVDC & FACTS product testing in line with project deliverables and support test engineers and the Manufacturing Manager.

You will work in a high voltage test environment, applying your technical electrical qualifications and strong communication skills while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role offers professional development within a global energy solutions company.

Qualifications

• Technical Electrical qualification required.
• Experience in manufacturing test environments with automated test equipment.
• Knowledge of running test equipment up to 10kV or 2000A.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Production routine testing of all HVDC & FACTS products.
• Diagnostic down to component level for test failures.
• Perform routine VAV process.
• Support maintenance, calibration and servicing of test equipment.
• Assist in test equipment upgrades and product changeovers.
• Maintain daily safety checks and documentation.
• Comply with GE safety requirements.
• Carry out duties as PIC – Person in charge.
