Job summary

GE Grid Solutions seeks a Senior HVDC Product Specialist to lead Verification & Validation across engineering, NPI, and product care teams. You will define testing strategies, ensure rigorous verification before factory release, and drive improvement across HVDC control and protection projects.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate lab, factory, and site testing, and contribute to customer communications on quality expectations. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics or Electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong leadership experience in complex system engineering development.
• Significant experience with HVDC control systems and power generation.
• Knowledge of test-driven design techniques and CI tooling.
• Familiarity with requirements management and change control processes.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical direction for V&V of HVDC control and protection systems.
• Establish testing boundaries and ensure verification before factory release.
• Develop plans and specifications for system tests and commissioning at site.
• Prepare Test Management Plans and Solution approaches.
• Coordinate HVDC testing across lab, factory, and site environments.
• Lead technical reviews and gate approvals; mentor engineers.
• Support IP strategy and customer communications on quality expectations.
