Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions in Stafford is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support HVDC manufacturing equipment and processes. You will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production by supporting equipment changes, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements across cross-functional teams.

This hands-on role requires strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving, and the ability to work with manufacturing, maintenance, and supplier partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
• Experience with automated assembly equipment.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of equipment and process changes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and equipment, including product and variant changes.
• Provide first-line engineering support for equipment breakdowns and production issues.
• Support maintenance technicians with calibration and preventative maintenance activities.
• Train and support production operators in the correct use of equipment and processes.
• Work with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
• Support manufacturing IT systems and provide first-line support during downtime.
• Create and update work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Support manufacturing operations during second shift hours.
