Job summary

BRE Watford is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a 6-month fixed-term contract to work on HVAC test rigs and live systems. You will modify, construct, and maintain rigs, interpreting technical drawings to build and optimise setups, supporting experimental test programmes on-site in Watford.

You will handle metalwork, timber fabrication, plumbing and electrical wiring, using MS Office for reporting and data analysis. The role is full-time and requires commutable presence at the Watford office.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, mechanical or plumbing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in MS Office for reports and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on modification, construction and maintenance of HVAC test rigs across metalwork, timber fabrication, plumbing and wiring.
• Interpret technical drawings and build, adapt and optimise test setups.
• Set up, operate and adjust equipment to meet project requirements for experimental programmes.
