Job summary

BRE in Watford is seeking an HVAC Technician for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves hands-on modification, construction and maintenance of HVAC test rigs across metalwork, timber fabrication, plumbing and electrical wiring.

You will interpret drawings to build, adapt and optimise test setups and support experimental programmes by setting up and adjusting equipment to meet project requirements. Excellent teamwork and the ability to work unsupervised are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, mechanical or plumbing equipment to resolve issues.
• Ability to build rigs from drawings across metalwork, timber fabrication, wiring, power and instrumentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematic drawings.
• Self-motivated and team player, able to work unsupervised when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on modification, construction and maintenance of HVAC test rigs across multiple disciplines.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings to build and optimise test setups.
• Support delivery of experimental programmes by setting up and operating equipment to meet project needs.
