Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mobile HVACR Service Technician to service and commission Water Chillers, AC and HVAC systems across the South West, including Plymouth, Exeter and Bridgwater.

You will fault-find and repair chillers, DX, VRV/VRF and AHUs, interpreting schematics and data sheets to deliver reliable plant operation. A valid UK driving licence and independent working capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven HVAC/R field experience across service and maintenance.
• Strong electrical, controls and diagnostic skills.
• Able to interpret schematics and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and commissioning water chillers, AC and HVAC systems.
• Fault-finding and repair across chillers, DX, split, VRV/VRF, AHUs and ventilation plant.
• Work with leading manufacturers and document work clearly.
• Operate safely complying with Zero Harm culture.

The Role

You’ll be a trusted technical expert, delivering high‑quality service across multiple customer sites. Your day‑to‑day will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and commissioning Water Chillers, AC and HVAC systems

• Fault‑finding and repair across Chillers, DX, Split, VRV/VRF, AHUs and ventilation plant

• Working with leading manufacturers such as York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric

• Completing clear documentation and providing proactive improvement recommendations

• Operating safely at all times, fully aligned with our Zero Harm culture

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in HVAC (Level 3 desirable)

• F‑Gas 2079 Cat 1

• Proven experience as an HVAC/ Chiller Service Engineer

• Strong electrical, controls and diagnostic skills

• Ability to interpret schematics, piping diagrams and technical data

• Self‑motivated, customer‑focused and comfortable working independently

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally
