What You Will Do

We are a leading provider of equipment, controls, and services for heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and security systems. Join Johnson Controls UK&I Service team as an HVAC Service Engineer! This is an on-site role in Capenhurst (CH1 6ER).

As an HVAC Engineer, you will work as part of a team on site, serving as the primary contact for all technical service issues and routine maintenance.

How You Will Do It

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within set timeframes and according to established processes, service agreements, and customer needs. You will perform system PPM as per contract requirements, communicating findings and recommendations for system improvements, upgrades, or optimizations.

Keep the customer informed about the services provided, prepare detailed reports and technical communications, and ensure health and safety standards are met. While often working independently, you will be part of a team contributing to its success.

What We Look For

• Recognised HVAC qualification: NVQ level 2, 3 or equivalent
• Proven HVAC maintenance experience in a service engineer role within the air conditioning industry
• F-GAS 2079 Cat 1 qualification
• Service & breakdown experience
• Experience with major manufacturers such as Daikin, Hitachi, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric
• Knowledge of DX, Split & VRV systems, fan coil units, panel coolers, small chillers, AHUs & ventilation equipment
• Electrical and controls experience to identify and rectify issues
• Ability to interpret technical documents like electrical schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams
• Capable of working independently with limited supervision
• Positive attitude, team player, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills
• Flexible approach to work
• Full UK driving license
